Lunch at Otaniemi Radisson & My First Earrings

Following my husband's tip we went for lunch to Radisson Otaniemi restaurant with Louisa today. Salad table was really great and for the main course I had a delicious parsnip soup (spell check, anyone?).  It is really a different experience to eat outside. It gives a feeling of vacation to city people.

After lunch we took a business trip to Accessorize shop. It has been my project for some time since I noticed one lady making clips out of earrings at Glitter (I do not have my ears pierced). Normally Glitter does not convert earrings purchased elsewhere into clips but they made an exception thanks to Leo.

I got the diamante chandelier earrings and butterflies. I think both of them have a vintage feel. Along came also this necklace which I loved for the subtle peach shade and texture of caviar which I have seen in so many designer jewelry ads. Hope to wear them all soon on our vacation in Spain.

Raining...

...just saying hi to my blog. It is raining outside and we spent whole morning sleeping and watching a movie...and I have ordered my closet. Yes! And I didn't have chocolates (gave them to mother-in-law) and had a self-made smoothie instead. Proud of myself!

Saturday Evening in Espa

We took a quick drive to Espa - no kids- and it felt very refreshing to eat not in a hurry and just to walk - without direction or hurry.

Maxi Dress & Cafe Jugend With Louisa

Hot hot hot. I had to go browse my summer dresses to dress up for today. Not too proud of my bruised knees (blame street dance & Leo) so choice was obvious - my maxi dress from last summer. I bought it from H&M with a few euros at sales because it covered my huge stomach but kept upper body cool. It's a very fine cotton knit. I love it and feel very good in it. Combined it with Essentiel cotton biker waistcoat and black wedges by Billi Bi.

We took an afternoon tea with Louisa in Cafe Jugend and I seem to have grilled myself to red color.  Love the summer mood and the atmosphere in the city!

Vintage Mood

I have recently got a few items that I realized are very much like vintage. Gold tone, nostalgic materials and shades.

My feather hair band from Glitter and a bag with metal decorations by Mango Touch are good examples.

And today's outfit with my floral Zara baseball jacket. Actually, quite vintage looking as well.

Tous Bears

I have a little crush on Tous products with those cute bears. I have got one backpack and a silver bracelet from travels to Spain and Greece a few years ago but this summer I would like to brings one of these cute things home with me...

A Day At the Office...

In order to make the landing to the office life more soft I paid a visit there today. It's also a nice excuse to walk on Bulevardi and Freda...and have an always great lunch at Ekberg.

Leo was the star of the show - all the way. :)))

On the way back I just HAD to drop into Dots...and get another Stylesnob bracelet with cute gold tone wings. Here are my two faithful friends. Light enough to wear on the wrist (I hate heavy jewelry) and a great match to anything especially my MJ Hilier in aluminium shade.

White Is the Color of My True Summer Time

Always been the person who loves white. The pure white. White is the best color in the world and easiest to keep clean. And it makes an instant impression of class. White in winter - super chic. White in summer - more predictable but also chic. ;)

Today I revealed my belly button for Helsinki and some parts of Espoo. This is how I did it.

 

P.S. Today was a little bit of a shopping day too. I got new perfectly comfortable (!) platform sandals from Kenkäfriikki and some jewelry. Soon here!

At Villa Pentry

I have a small project for June - I am exploring Espoo, a new city where we live now. It is just a formality as I drive to Helsinki downtown in some 10 minutes but Espoo has its sites.

My first goal is to see all the manors of Espoo.

Today we have been to Villa Pentry in Nuottalahti which is famous also for its excellent restaurant.  It was very sunny and for an hour I could not believe I was in Finland. The views were totally Mediterranean. Lunch buffet was very generous and a lot of healthy options.

 
And now I am relaxing alone at home with a glass of Cola (one of my guilty pleasures) after a great class of Bodypump and admiring my new bedroom curtains...need to post on those, actually.

Stylesnob Purchases

During the weekend I was taking my round on Fredrikinkatu for some stylish shoes. I really like a small boutique called "DOTS..." which sells all kind of Stylesnob accessories and also lovely clothes in romantic and feminine style.

Here's what I got on Saturday - black ballerinas with golden studs and tan gladiator sandals also with golden studs. Ballerinas have been out already but sandals waiting for sunny weather and summer vacation. And they are not alone, not alone in that one...

Once upon a time I fell in love with everything Ted Baker...Shoes, bags, jewelry. Candy colors, ultra-feminine shapes - that's Ted Baker.
