I have recently realized I can take a pic of my outfit in the office dressing room. Not too artistic but my readers get an idea of what I am actually wearing to work.

Right now I have some limitations in my dressing due to the knee which is still recovering. I wear more comfort oriented clothes and no heels.

B-day Happenings and Life After 31

Now I am writing already one year older. Unexpected events just keep me from writing here.

This time i really have an excuse. I have had a really amazing b-day this year without any expectations this day turned into perfection.

I visited the office (to feel professional fulfillment), then I took a luxury of taking a shower at 3 p.m. alone at home and went off for a real romantic date. On the way to the restaurant I took a quick look at Stockmann womens department admiring Ted Baker's and Karen Millen's stands.

The date was at the restaurant Boulevard Social and it is a very cosy and atmospheric place serving fusion cuisine of Mediterranean dishes with African and Middle East accents. We took a tasting menu of nearly 10 dishes and every single one was exactly to my taste: not too spicy with pure and healthy ingredients like fish, a lot of vegetables and yogurt sauces.

This was a very nice dessert, as you can see...;)

Black & White & Ethnic

When you have a private house then home improvement work never stops really. I have noticed how much more one needs to do compaired to a city apartment.

Last weekend I have spotted a carpet in Ikea which I wanted to have in the upstairs hall. It is a square space some 2m by 2m and there is nothing else but doors in there. I fell in love with this ethnic ornament and the fresh combination of white & black. Really would like to have more black & white at home right now and see monochrome textiles against beautiful wood shades.

Soon I will get yet one more year older and being in situation I am in I can not but think of some ways to cheer myself up and considering I am a handbag girl almost as much as shoe girl I could not stop from craving Furla's new collections purple bags.

I have now concluded this is the perfect model for me: it is light and something between hard and soft and it is that ideal medium size. And models name is Elisabeth, so...it is destiny, right?

Back In Purple & One Leg

It has been a while since I updated this blog. I started new job, I started a life of a working mum with 2 kids. No excuses but I did not have much time to do anything else than just basic routines. I need to say special thanks to Linda, who reminded me of this blog and inspired to continue writing it.

I think, it is also age that makes it more tough to adopt to life changes. I had once come back from maternity leave 4 years ago and it felt so different than now. I have to say I am generally happy to be back to work. But there are moments when I envy housewives, but just a bit.

Since last Monday I have started yet another new chapter. A life of a person, working mum, with one disfunctioning leg. I do not love it, but it will come to an end. For a bit over a week now I have been pretty much home, trying to work from home, trying to manage everything with a sick leg.

Today I have been to my doctor and she encouraged to walk a bit more so I took a short ride to Munkkiniemi seaside cafe, had a feta quiche and bio lemonade, then walked some 50 meters by the shore admiring autumn nature. I have not seen much of the autumn otherwise, it is now already turning quite much into winter.

I had a quick visit to Stockmann as well and picked a few items satisfying my cravings for purple color. I got very very tired just from 15 minutes I spent in the shop, so it is yet too early to be optimistic about recovery.

Some pics reflecting my current status: me, bed, leg and cold press for it, purple basic clothes in various textures,  my new obsession with Iittala colorful Kivi candle holders and my outing in Munkkiniemi cafe today.

Shades of Brown

New season, new hair...I really wanted to go more brown and get rid of too blond look. I do not love the result but I also hope to get used to it and to get more natural with time.

Anyway, I have been planning my working wardrobe recently a lot and Monday will be my first chance to wear something from it.

Here is something I am planning to wear soon: my printed Zara trousers, simple H&M tank and Esprit waterfall cardigan in mink. Heels are Marian (from Spain).

Sweatshirt, Clutch & Stripes

Some autumn newbies here at BambiHeaven...All from Mango!

This is the clutch I ordered at last and it is by Mango Touch. I fell in love with burgundy suede and the softness of the leather and those cute tassels. And it is rather large and fits all I need.

The grey sweatshirt is from Mango as well. Striped scarf is very Sonya Rykiel but it is actually Mango as well. ;)

Today I had my black jeans by Gina Tricot and Stylesnob ballerinas on. Warm and comfy!

P.S. My children have been today both in daycare and it adds to the feeling of starting autumn...

My New Cream Dress

...I wore for a girls sushi dinner last Friday. I love the wide obi style belt and the cotton jersey fabric of it. And it is always appropriate. Dress - Esprit, necklace - H&M, bag - Zara.

Evening Outfit Sneak Peek

Tonight we are going to see a private jazz concert. Weather looks really warm and I decided to go for a dress (dress-code says "business casual") instead of original white trouser outfit.

This dress I bought in Zara in Spain 2 years ago and have worn only once. Bag is Zara (it has a shoulder chain but I will wear as a clutch). Shoes are unworn Libre comme l'Air.

Clutches: One For Every Occasion?

I am a bit late, I know...Oversized clutches were so in some 2 years ago. But I am looking for one now.

I have a vision of a chic outfit consisting of dark fitted jeans, a blazer, a white shirt with gold tone necklace, high heels and a big clutch. Office and evening appropriate. Clutch adds chic to a basic office outfit. Makes me feel special even it is a regular boring office Monday.

Soft Arm Candy

I have wanted an animal bag for some time. Python was my original plan but somewhat I could not find the perfect one and I am always in search, of course...But, here is my new soft and cozy friend.

It is from Zara and it can be worn as a shoulder or a tote bag. I think it can suck in whatever. Just what a working mum needs...

Faux Sequin Trousers

It's funny, today I got a message from Yoox with a very cool title: Prints Charming. Advertising printed pants of course. I have got a couple of them, but my newest are from Zara and the print is photographic sequins. Looks really cool at a close look and really subtle overall. Can be dressed up and down.

I dress them now with my new Zara blouse with brass studs and a very old Zara coin belt. Shoes are Mariannes from Spain. Super comfy black platforms.

Retro Dress

This is a VERY old dress that I love - always - winter and summer, pregnant or not. It is the most flattering cotton jersey which fits my body like a glove. Neckline is deep V with twists that give some cleavage. It is perfect and it is from a thrift store. I bought it for 10 eur and I have now kept it for 6 years. <3 <3 <3

Today I was wearing it with a black Zara blazer and purple ballerinas. Sorry, but they are missing from the picture because "we do not wear shoes in the house" (strict mums rule) ;)

My New Magic Bottles

I used to be a perfume junkie. I had over 20 fragrances on a shelf. And my makeup and skincare used to consist of couple of products only.

Times have changed and I got a little hooked on a quality skincare over last 5 years. I use different products depending on my cycle (yes, i can see improvements even) and time of the year.

I have recently bought two products from same series by Kiehl's. Acai facial spray and a light cream. I spray this spray twice a day on my face, sometimes on top of the tinted moisturizer, if i have forgotten to do that before it. This spray instantly refreshes my skin and it looks somewhat more firm and even. Cream is very light and suits even my skin in summer, also all month round.

Today I have got a new set of Clinique anti-age products for test. Can not say anything yet, but Clinique has been serving me quite well in makeup and face cleanse area at least. I have not really had much skincare of Clinique because i like my products to have some fragrance. But I am open for new things if they can make me look pretty, of course. ;)

Fall Accessories: Angel / Démon

I love browsing shops when new season collections arrive. You can start a new page, take a new image, create a totally new look.

My new additions are something I have checked for a while though. Cotton lace scarf from Zara has already come home with me once - almost. Now it is here to stay, labels taken off.

Black DKNY bag has been in Stockmann also this spring on display and I have almost got it then, though not rationalizing that purchase as smart. Now I think it is a perfectly sized black bag which goes from day to night. Midsized bags are rarity and my thing, definitely.

I would wear my lace scarf with this chain bag for sure. This contradictory effect feels perfectly right.

Sleeping With Butterflies

Little bit of a butterfly crush going on here (also in clothes, of which - later).

Very old wall sticker by Ferm Living finally found its way on the wall over our bed and bedlinen are from Ellos.

The Last Breath of Zara Sales

Just a quick browse into Itäkeskus Zara and I found a wonderful dress on 60% discount.

Color and fit, beautiful mesh detail and golden studs - I love it all. Belt is H&M.

Python Sandals & Lace Top

Today's outfit consists of:

1. the sandals I bought yesterday with a 60% (!) discount. I love the model and the python detail (I have a python period going on).
2. jeans shorts by Gina Tricot
3. Lace top by Zara

This is the outfit I tried frozen yogurt for the very first time in. And it felt a little too sweet for me though quite good.

3 Year Old Dress

What is your oldest item in the closet? I actually realized I have dresses that are 3 years old. Today I wore one of them for a grill party at our place and I just still love the pattern of it and the flattering model. I wore it on my daughter's 2 year old party, which was 3 years ago and it brings great memories. I go sit down in our garden with a glass of sparkling rosé in a moment and enjoy a warm summer night.

Bambi's Nude Shoes

Something has been missing in my shoe closet - nude pumps. So many options available but very few right ones! On Spartoo.fi I found even two that I liked and now that I got them there is no way I would return them :)

Peep-toes are Guess (love the chain detail) and patent pumps with metal gold bows are "libre comme l'air" (French brand I have never heard of and I can say they are very good quality shoes and brand name is simply beautiful).

Burgundy

When was the last time I wore burgundy color? When was it actually fashionable last time? Then, in 90s, beginning of 2000...It has been rejected by me ever since then. Looks like I found old love and I have picked some favorites that might end up in my closet relatively soon.

Both tops are Lindex and leather / suede shift dress is sold by Ellos. Bag and shoes are Uterque (my new favorite!) Now I only need to think what to combine beautiful burgundy with...Black is too boring. Olivia magazine suggests dark turqouise. I think I would go for chocolate brown or cream accessories with it plus some gold jewelry. Like?

Shoes With White Bows

Black & White & New Peep-Toes

This is not a fresh picture, but I have quite a back log of pictures because I have been so incredibly busy lately!

This dress I bought a year ago and it is InWear. It is super comfortable, long enough not to worry of the hem being lifted by the wind. My new peep-toes are Michael Kors and they are also exremely comfortable, especially on bare feet.
