Today is one of those cold autumn days when one wants to stay home and - as a side effect - improve it and decorate it. One of my longterm plans for this new home of nearly 5 months was to get a dried curled wood branches with oriental vibe to one of the niches in the hall. I found it today by chance in a street flower shop of Lauttasaari. It is a perfect height and suits beautifully to the space. As a result of creative impulse I hanged some lucky charms that I brought from Tokyo trip last December. The charms are supposed to bring luck, prosperity and health. Well, in addition to that they simply look amazing with delicate embroidered silk covers. I think, they look very natural hanging on the branch, even though maybe not meant to be there.
To complete my oriental experience and satisfy my very obvious nostalgy for Japan, I got some sushi lunch home and had it with ginger and eucalyptus green tea, which is supposed to improve immune system performance. Tastes delicious, rare case when delicious is also healthy.
Ginger seems to be the flavor of the month with my new shower gel that I got recently and it smells and feels - heavenly, indeed.
Oriental mood gets reflected in my today's webshop browsing history for my birthday outfit. I like the femininity of this knitted Monsoon dress and it is also very practical for a cold November night. Will I betray the perfect LBD idea for this? Let's see.
