Every city girl becomes genuinly happy when she gets to find a new cool cafe and to shop low budget designer inspired items.
So did I this morning. A new cafe "Tiedekulma" ("Science corner") is opened in Aleksanterinkatu in place of the old kid store. It is a university cafe, hence the name. I like its spacy hall, shelves full books and healthy menu consisting of salads, quiches and smoothies. Organic design also looks very cool.
If that was not enough, I encountered an amazing designer look necklace + bracelet in Monki in black/white/neon shades. Love at first sight. Total cost 6 Eur. :)
Deja vu? Marni bracelets below (circa 200 EUR at YOOX).
And a stylish girl's dessert - not for me, for Laura - cupcakes with PINK topping from Stockmann. Yummy.
Great discoveries! BTW, you seem to get on well with your new camera!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mari! the truth is, I use 2 cameras. For example, even in this very post, images are taken with both of them. Can you tell which are which? Cafe images are taken with my pocket Olympus with 18X zoom and so very cool Magic modes. It is a perfect "on-the-go" camera for a little more demanding taste. The cupcake picture is taken with Canon IOS 600D, a pro camera but basic/default lense. The camera has not been outside yet, I am very careful with it...
ReplyDeleteI thought the close-ups would be with Canon - I think you've started taking more of them since you got the Canon, but might be wrong, too. I love them, seeing little details and it highlights the point you're making.
ReplyDeleteyes, I started to use Canon for close-ups though basically should be using a macro lense for the purpose. It is true - I start to realize - photography is a joy of older people, and I am one of them now. ;)
