Happy Valentines!

14.02 - Valentines Day, oddly called Friends Day in Finland. But I like the romantic shade of this holiday. People say "I Love You" far too rarely.

A good day is guaranteed by a good breakfast. Today: fresh strawberries and other fruit along with joghurt and yesterday home-baked heart muffins.

I like giving personal gifts and this relationship poetry kit - magnet words to create messages, for example, on a fridge - was ideal for my husband. From now on - it is a new obligation - a new poem every morning. :)

And I was lucky to receive a new beauty - a lavender shade leather bow bag by Aigner. Love the pastel soft colour. Now I will be haunted by urge to find other lavender colour accessories to match. :)

Happy Valentines, dear Readers!
Love and read more poems to each other...

Black & Gold & a Touch of Turqouise

Bambi Heaven proudly presents the lucky find from Copenhagen, my new friend in need, I am sure, the perfect black coat - by Malene Birger. I love the leather detailing and the golden accents. And i think it made quite good friends with my Michael Kors bag.

So what do you say - am I ready for the office life this autumn? :)
Coat - by Malene Birger
Jeans - Esprit
Platform boots - from Italy
Bag - Michael Kors
Watch - Skagen (Danish design, by the way, but from older days)
Ring,  bracelet and moustache necklace - Accessorize

Copenhagen Shopping

Some of my Copenhagen finds in this post. So, shopping there was really easy with all the shops mainly concentrated around the old town streets, called Stroget.

One shop I loved a lot is called Sostrene Grene and is a mecca of cool and trendy homeware.
These retro Blafre style tin boxes with squirrel motif, cute birthday cards and the neon pillow came along to Helsinki.

It was great to find a COS store on Stroget as well with its ultra minimalistic cool designs. I heard, COS store is coming to Finland, Helsinki Kämp this spring. Can't wait! so far, COS creations I have been checking online HERE

At Cos i got these jewelry -  leather wrap bracelet with neon edges and coloured chain necklace and bracelets in juicy tones.

And I did find a new perfume during the trip. The reason I like shopping for perfume during travels is that it will remind me of that place ever since. So Copenhagen's winter smells like l'Eau de Chloe. :) Green, light, sparkling spring scent with touch of rose (so Chloe) and pachuli and a bit of citrus.

...To be continued...

Copenhagen Experienced

Back from the sunny and so much warmer  Copenhagen, I feel tired but so refreshed at the same time.

Copenhagen is a stylish fusion of old and new architecture, excellent visually impressive nordic cuisine and stylish interior solutions. Copenhagen is a great fashion shopping destination with brands like classy Malene Birger (later about my great bargain all time winner find from there), Bruuns Bazar, romantic Noa Noa, high street Selected and certainly global Ecco.

Here Copenhagen in pictures. Enjoy!

And a warm touch to the whole trip was our Tiffany hotel, also called a Sweet Hotel which made our stay very comfortable with a spacy family room in a charming old building with high ceilings and warm rolls delivered to our room every morning. Breakfast at Tiffany's - what could be better?

Packing...

As an organized (never been, but trying hard) girl I starting packing the bag already now.  Most of it will be occupied with baby food, clothes and all the other things a baby needs - and that is a lot. So i need to be very very precise about what I pack for the 4 day trip.

Studded bag and white down coat are by Selected, by the way, so Danish goes home, so to say. Perfume is Prada l'Infusion d'Iris - it is a perfect winter perfume, a little bit masculine and suits the edgy style I selected for Cph wardrobe. Though my mission is actually to find a new perfume during the trip.

Now, really hope to have a successful trip. Camera ready charging and mind setting into the trip mode. Despite ultimate tiredness. :)

Tomorrow at This Time...

...I will be in the Finnair lounge waiting for my Copenhagen plane. The trip means a lot to me: i have long followed Danish fashion and design and it is one of those trends that are close to my nature. On top of that, Copenhagen is irritatingly close, just 1,5 hours away by a plane. And!!! I have not been anywhere since last February (trip to Budapest). Just keeping fingers crossed we actually get there tomorrow. :)

So, without knowing anything about the place and secretly keeping a Copenhagen travel guide purchased in Stockmann bookstore already in summer 2011 on one of those late pregnancy "I-hate-myself-and-this-huge-stomach-and-I-will-soon-travel-no-matter-what" days I have a certain idea of Denmark cultural and design landscape, which will be updated and upgraded a.s.a.p :)

1. Denmark is the land of white homes: either more towards the country style or to industrial with colourful accents but white dominates. Love it.

2. Denmark is the land of ressurected 60s retro (in the form of colourful AND durable kids clothes). I start wondering who love children more: Italians or Danish? :)

Småfolk:

Molo kids:

The genius Stokke - it DOES grow with your child.

3. Danish love owls. So do I.

4. Copenhagen is the culinaristic capital of Scandinavia. Toast Skagen - anyone?

5. Copenhagen hosts the lovely Nyhavn with those fairytale houses, in one of which there lived a real fairy tale teller - mister Andersen. His house is the red one on the picture.

6. Pilgrim jewelry is from Denmark. I started collecting my gold-plated charms already some 5 years ago. They are still pop. Here you can view the newest ones.

7. Danish clothes are all about sleek simple lines, natural colours and natural materials.

The ones to watch are:

- by Malene Birger - luxury is simple.

Shop Malene Birger here, delivery over 200 eur is free. Sale ongoing.

- Selected Femme/Homme - genius everyday clothes which look classy but casual.
Love the SS dress in a birch print.

Not much I know about Danish designers, so something to learn!

So if you have any tips for my trip, let me know before tomorrow afternoon.
